I know every month I say this, but I can't believe we're already into June! Where is this year going? I also just wanted to quickly say a big thank you to everyone who has told me they've been enjoying my blog since I started doing it again, it means the world!
I don't have a whole lot of favourites to talk about this month, but the ones I do are good ones, I assure you!
First up is Rimmel London's 'Stay Matte' Long Lasting Pressed Powder. I had this product a few years ago and love how matte and smooth it made my face look when used to set my foundation. The colour matches my skin perfectly and I use this now with every makeup application - day or night! Very lightweight, not at all cakey and super affordable.
Next, I've been loving OPI's 'Lady In Black.' There's not much to say about it because it is just black nail polish, but you only need to do a couple of coats, it's very resistant to chipping and lasts forever, which is just what I look for in a nail varnish - love it!
Thirdly, I have a new Lush product that I have fallen in love with. If you suffer from fine, flat hair like me, then you should 100% try 'Big.' It's a sea salt shampoo (which feels like the weirdest thing you could possibly put on your head when applying) that creates gorgeous volume in any hair type. I find that it is much more effective than a sea salt spray and can already see myself repurchasing it!
Next is a perfume that I had almost forgotten about until I noticed it hiding at the back of my (small) collection during last month. It's Glam Jasmine by Michael Kors. I love this as a night time scent, as it's quite strong and has what I would consider a sophisticated smell. The bottle is also small enough to pop in your clutch on a night out, so bonus!
Lastly is another Lush product that I have only used once so far. It's R 'n' B and is a treatment used to moisturise hair, including curls. I can tell I'm going to love this when I'm having a spell of dry or brittle hair that needs revamped, and I could also see how lovely and shiny it would make curls look. Bare in mind though, less is definitely more with this one!
Music I've been loving this month comes from DNCE - their EP is catchy beyond belief as well as a country/rock band called Broken Witt Rebels - just beautiful music.
In terms of TV/Netflix I started watching Episodes this month starring Matt LeBlanc, just as something easy going to have on in the background, but it is actually so much funnier than I ever could have imagined, and I'm so attached to the characters! Loved it.

Film-wise, it was What Happened Miss Simone that had me hooked this month, again it's on Netflix so I'd definitely recommend it! (I have a feeling it won an oscar this year, if not it was nominated!)
I've finished a couple of books this month too (both of which I'll review soon) one of which was Jim Quillen's 'Inside Alcatraz : My Time on the Rock' and the other one was Jodi Picoult's 'Leaving Time.' Both of which were amazing books that I learned so much from!

That brings the favourites to an end for this month, I hope you enjoyed this post! Also just wanted to mention a quick RIP to Muhammad Ali, one of the greatest sportsmen and icons of a lifetime and another RIP to Harambe the Gorilla (but that's a whole other post!). Thank you for reading! x
